Science
Rooms 9 & 10 work together in science, this term the topic was Earth
and Beyond. The classes worked in groups to carry out an experiment
about light. Each group had a piece of foil and explored reflections
and how light travels when the foil was smooth and then crunched up.
Here are some explanations of what happened.
Jack - Room 10
We disappeared because it got scrunched up. The bumps made no face.
Ali - Room 9
You disappeared because it’s scrunchy and it’s different
to a straight foil. I think it happened because it rotated. It’s
too small and can’t reflect.
Charlotte - Room 9
All I could see was yellow and the scrunches make it disappear.
Jake - Room 9
We disappeared because it was scrunched up. The bumps made no face.
Lucan - Room 9
It makes small pieces so you can’t see yourself.
Brandon - Room 10
When we scrunched and unscrunched it looked like crystals and was very
sparkly.
Milli - Room 9
When it was all smooth we could see ourselves in the tin foil. After
when we scrunch it up it was all blurry and fuzzy and we could see the
colours of our house t-shirt. We were lucky enough to see tin foil crystals
and we had lots of fun!
