Music Programme

All students from Year1 to Year 7 participate in music activities for 45 minutes per week with a specialist teacher. Pre-Primary students have half an hour per week. Through singing, playing instruments, moving and dancing, listening, creating and responding to music, students have opportunities to develop skills and acquire understanding of the elements of music. Activities in the music programme assist in bringing out creativity in students, fostering team-work and awareness of others. Music in kindergarten classes is an integral part of daily activities helping develop auditory awareness, listening skills, speech and co-ordination. Music aids in teaching about such things as colour, counting and sequencing and gives the joy of creating.

Way To Go Concert

This annual event, organized and run by a dedicated committee of parents, has a special place in the school year and is always eagerly anticipated by the student population. Students make up their own musical items, rehearse and audition for the opportunity to perform on stage at night for an audience of friends and families.
