The suburb of Duncraig is located to the west of Perth's
Mitchell Freeway. It is bordered by the suburbs of Padbury to the north,
Marmion and Sorrento to the west, Carine to the south and past the
freeway to the east is the suburb of Greenwood. The suburb is bounded
by three main arterial roads and the Mitchell Freeway. They are Beach
Road (south), Marmion Avenue (west), Hepburn Avenue (north) and the
Mitchell Freeway to the east.
The majority of students come from stable families. Most
families occupy their own homes in what is an attractive suburb boasting
essential facilities. The area's educational facilities - large well
equipped primary school and adjacent Anglican and Government high schools
- are given as reasons for living in the area.
Students attending Glengarry Primary School tend to be
well behaved and motivated to succeed and there is strong evidence
of parental support for a ' good education'.
