At Glengarry Primary School a learning culture has been established where the focus is on:

learning (not teaching)
learning how to learn
engaging students in learning through meaningful and interesting activities
learning through problem-solving
learning through disciplined enquiry
using technology as a tool for learning (particularly years 4-7)
learning for life ..... development of life skills

At Glengarry Primary School students are engaged in learning through a balance of explicit teaching and activity based lessons. Within the activity based lessons there is a strong emphasis on collaborative learning. Collaborative skills are essential for students if they are to be successful in gaining employment in the future. Increasingly, at Glengarry Primary School, the different learning styles and multiple intelligences of the students are catered for through a variety of learning approaches.
